Yana Egorova is an author of love stories, women’s romance novels, and detective fiction. She was born in Latvia, later moved to France, and eventually settled in Germany. Yana began her writing career in Paris in 2016.
Being bilingual from birth (Latvian and Russian), and since many people from the post-Soviet community in Europe communicate in Russian, her first novels were originally written in Russian. Over time, the situation changed, and Yana’s works began to appear in German and English as well.
In 2025, she launched a YouTube channel dedicated to gay romance literature, and at the same time her team started translating her novels and producing audiobook versions. Today, Yana’s audiobooks are available on Amazon, Kindle, Apple Books, Google Books, Kobo, and many other platforms.
What makes Yana Egorova’s romance novels unique?
Unlike many authors in the genre, Yana focuses deeply on emotions. In her books, the core of the story is the moment when the characters meet their true love—the one we call “the love of a lifetime.” Unfortunately, many people have never yet experienced such powerful feelings in real life. Yana conveys these moments with vivid detail, carefully exploring the circumstances and emotions that bring her characters together.
The foundation of her YouTube channel is a popular gay romance series about two main characters—a dark-haired man and a blond man, often from Sweden. Why Sweden? Perhaps the country resonates with Yana personally, or maybe a real-life story connects her to that part of the world.
Looking ahead, Yana is planning several LGBTQ+ gay romance novels where the main characters are over 35 years old. Some drafts for these stories already exist, and readers are eagerly waiting for the updates.
